How it all began

Gastronauts just love food. Good food. So we thought - why not share the love?

In the beginning the question was 'how?' We scratched our heads for a while, then knocked on a few doors and asked people to answer some foodie questions (they were paid handsomely for their time with chocolates). We asked what they required to meet their needs in modern day living and what kind of food they enjoyed eating at home.

The answer we heard time and again was that they wanted good quality food which was also convenient. Convenience food is not known for its good quality - in fact it seemed almost rude putting them in the same sentence! The penny dropped and we knew what to do. Gastronaut and its Out of This World Gourmet Cuisine was created to provide high quality, hand made food, packaged and ready for your convenience!

How we work

By our own admittance, at Gastronaut we are culinary magpies. We take the best dishes from around the world, change the recipes a little to make them our own, include as much seasonal and local produce as possible, and then feature them on our menus.

When designing our menus we always balance the traditional with the adventurous. We want you to keep loving the food you have always enjoyed, but also give you the opportunity to start loving food that you might not have tried yet.
